Personal integrity is an issue of mine. Pictures of an intimate nature belongs to the person photographed. The act of showing or otherwise using them by people other than the owner loses its value.

To have someone show me or sending me their intimate stories, pictures or emotions is to me an act of great courage, while telling on other peoples intimate details or showing me pictures of a intimate nature without their permission shows cowardness.

A positive way of getting attention, in my experience, is a thoughtful comment. That way both the person expressing themselves as well as their friends see the potential value of responding. And this being a social medium positive response spread.
